Ana OverWatch "StarWatch" Fan Concept

This skin line of D.va, Widow, and Ana is something I designed for a group fan concept for Overwatch. StarWatch is both a reference to Overwatch's existing event, the series StarTrek and its spacecrew system, as well as the setting and theme the project follows. For the project, I had to decide my take on the space theme as examples in pop culture as well as in design and fashion have a wide range. I mainly researched retro-futurism (ranging from the Western 60's variety to the Japanese Space Girl we see in older animes, to Austin Powers).

Ana was a bit tricky to design. Although I knew I wanted to be this cool and retro space captain. I had to find a balance between her looking not too "pirate-y" but looking appropriate for the theme. For her design, I took influence from the manga Space Pirate Captain Harlock as well as generally suited women from different sci-fi fashion collections.
